What is Datara?
Datara is an integrated Saudi business platform that brings everything you need to run a company into one place in the cloud: invoicing and accounting, sales and quotations, purchases, manufacturing and work orders, internal team chat, and HR. The modules work as one — no scattered systems and no moving data by hand.
How do I start?
Sign up with your email, answer a short setup wizard about your business, and your workspace is created in seconds — ready to use straight away.
Is there a free trial?
Yes — a 14-day free trial with every feature, and a counter inside the app showing the days remaining. No credit card is asked for.
Do I need to install anything?
No. Datara runs in the browser on phone and desktop, and you can add it to your home screen as an app for a faster experience — with nothing to install.
Invoicing and accounting
Are the invoices ZATCA-compliant?
Yes — Datara issues a tax invoice with automatic sequential numbering and a QR code, per the requirements of phase one of e-invoicing. You enter your VAT details and national address once in settings, and your company logo is printed on every document.
What does the accounting side cover?
Sales and purchase invoices, receipt and payment vouchers, credit and debit notes, a chart of accounts following Saudi practice, a trial balance, an income statement, the VAT return, and statements of account for customers and suppliers — all derived automatically from your documents, and printable in Arabic and English.
Do I need accounting experience to use it?
No — you enter the invoice or the voucher, and the accounting reports build themselves on balanced double entry, with no extra work from you.
Users and permissions
How do I add my team?
From settings you invite your team and set each member’s role: owner with full authority, manager with broad visibility, or employee for day-to-day work — and you can tune permissions precisely per person.
Can my staff see each other’s salaries?
No — HR and payroll data are available to the owner only. Each employee has their own self-service area where they see their own record and file their requests and leave.
Security and data
Where is my data stored, and who can see it?
Your data is hosted on secure global cloud infrastructure with strict isolation per company: no account outside your company can reach your data at all, and data is encrypted in transit and at rest.
Can I export my data?
Yes — you can export and print your reports and documents whenever you like. Your data is always yours.
Subscription and support
What happens when the trial ends?
Your workspace closes temporarily and your data stays exactly as it is — nothing is deleted. Email us at hello@datara.sa before the trial ends or after, and we will reopen it so you carry on where you stopped.
